Month 2 Dr. Appt

OK, so I had my 2 month dr. appt with Dr. Dreiling. He is a bald guy who really knows how to handle me. He makes me mad and then calms me back down before making me mad again.

I weight 11 pounds and 11 ounces which is in the fiftieth percentile. I am 24 inches tall which is in the ninetieth percentile. My head is 15 1/4 inches around which is in the twenty-fifth percentile. Dr. Dreiling says I am long and lean and doing well.

A nurse made me drink some grape tasting stuff and gave me three shots they called vaccinations. I cried but I got myself together pretty quickly. I think I saw a tear in mommy's eyes too...

We will go back to see Dr. Dreiling at 4 months. Wonder how big I will be then?

I think Daddy and Mommy are having a great time with me!

Ok, so I do love it when Daddy and Mommy play with me. I show them by smiling with my whole face. I talk in my own language too! However, you will see my Daddy and Mommy like to play too!

Fun with Mommy's work

So, Daddy, Mommy and I got dressed up and headed to where Mommy works, Korn Ferry International. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Lots of people wanted to hold me and I sure did not mind. I had a great time at the party.

Mommy and Daddy seemed to have a good time too. They ate pizza and yummy cake shaped like a smiley face in honor of Happy, TX. They also opened a ton of gifts for me...some of them I will have to grow for them to fit which Mommy and Daddy seemed pleased about...there was lots of laughter and joking around the table.

Thanks for a great time Korn Ferry Friends! Mommy will be joining you again soon and I am headed to Bright Horizons.

My first trip to the Fort Worth Stock Show

MeeMaw, Daddy, Mommy and I made it over to support Haw Jim's chicken adventure. Check out the pics. He has some pretty cool looking chickens...too bad the judge did not think so. Mr. Judge, my Haw Jim will keep working on his birds and you will think his chickens are better next year! Keep up the good work Haw Jim!

After seeing Haw Jim's fine chickens, we headed to the Mustang Magic competition. We watched 10 horse trainers perform before we headed to Blue Mesa for dinner and back home.

Haw Jim and I playing

This is me...hanging out with Haw Jim. Check out my hair...it is growing back! It can look dark and light...who knows how it is really going to look when I grow up?

Haw Jim is a great play mate...he does this thing where he moves my legs and arms to the movements he is telling in his story. His story always has to do with walking or riding my bike to Mee Maw's house. Then, I walk into her house, climb up on the counter and either eat a cookie or a donut.

He says he has done it with cousins Bailey, Teagen, and Kyton...check it out!

I have chickens at my house....

So, MeeMaw and Haw Jim came to see me, and Haw Jim brought his chickens to show at the Fort Worth Stock Show. Mommy, Daddy and I had 4 chickens on our front porch! 2 hens and 2 roosters. That's 2 female and 2 males for clarification.

They got here on Thursday night...it was great to see them!

Even though I am getting bigger...I still like my naps!

Man, I love to nap. Deep down, I think Flat Lion likes to nap too!!! (even though he does not close his eyes!)

Lifting some weights...

Today, my mommy put a rattle in my hand and I thought it was pretty cool to swing it around and "lift some weights..."

This has been a great morning. After breakfast, I got to put on a new outfit...this is not just any outfit though. This shirt was made by my friend B.K. Word has it that he got the iron on from his Cheerios box (don't ask me why he is eating Cheerios in his 30's...I am not allowed to question my elders!) Anyway, BK made it just for me and I love it. However, I also love it more because Mommy and Daddy got all excited about the fact that Mr. Strong was on the shirt. They said they traveled with a cool dude named Krish thru China, Mongolia and Russia who had a real Mr. Strong that he took pics with. You will see a picture of traveling Mr. Strong and Krish with Mommy and Daddy.

Also, this should be the formal introduction of Flat Lion (that is Flat...not Fat). Mommy and I play with him and he helps me learn to follow sounds and makes me smile! I think he will be a repeat performer on the blog.

PS - Mommy apologizes for having the video turned the wrong way...she said she will do better next time!

First trip to Happy, TX, population 700 something

Mommy and Daddy (well really Daddy) drove me to Happy, TX from Las Cruces. It was hard to get back in the car seat for a long time again, but we made it in time to help celebrate my cousin Bailey's bday at MeeMaw's and Haw Jim's house. We were glad to get there too because it was COLD!

Check out the pics! I got to meet the Odom clan, Pat & Bob and many other great people from Happy!

One more fun night in Las Cruces, NM

Well, we had a rough trip from Phoenix...everyone was tired and ready to get home! (it did not help that TCU lost the game either.) We had no real issues to speak of, but everyone was a little crankier than usual. Once we arrived, Grandma Judy put us all to bed for a good nap. Then, some of her friends came over to meet me and the family came over for pizza and fun. My cousin Lillie does a great robot version of the song "I am a Promise". I can't wait to be able to play with Jordan, Lillie and Memphis...of course the other cousins will be awesome too, but they will be lots older than me!

To see some pics from this fun night, click here. You will see lots of Chris and Memphis wrestling...looked like so much fun!

GO HORN FROGS!! Beat Boise State!!!

Daddy went to a place called TCU to get himself educated. He and Mommy hauled me to Phoenix for the Fiesta Bowl game. Uncle Brian, Uncle Eugene and Uncle Scott went with Daddy and his swimming friends in a 1-800-RV4RENT RV...to partake in the festivities. The weather was great. Mommy and I hung out all day while the boys went to the game. We took advantage of the sunny, warm weather!

Some highlights of the trip:
- Mommy and Daddy could not stop talking about a place called In and Out...Mommy even went to eat there during the game...I guess she likes it!
- Eugene, Brian, Daddy, Mommy and I all crammed into Grandma Judy's car for the trip from Las Cruces. It was a fun time with ALL of us in the car!
- Eugene and Brian had to go to the bathroom...so we stopped and tried to find a Dairy Queen. The one we found was "closed for the season", whatever that means. They also had parfait spelled "parfay"..check out the pic.
- Scott flew in and met us at the hotel on Sunday.
- Pam Segura, Rod's sister, came to see us too. She really was coming to meet me actually! I like her...she gave me my TCU attire! Thanks PAM!
- We had dinner one night at a place called "Four Peaks" brewery...it was fun and yummy food!
- Scott "won" twice when we played credit card roulette. THANKS FOR FEEDING MOMMY AND DADDY!

Ok...enough words, check out the pics! CLICK HERE
